State Bank of India paid 8,076.84 CR dividends for the government for financial year 25

State Bank of India (SBI), the largest lender in the country, for the financial year of 224-55, 1, 176.84. The dividend of crores has been paid.

On Monday, SBI President CS Setty handed over the check to Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman. Financial Services Secretary M Nagaraju and Finance Secretary Ajay Seth were also present during the handover.

The Finance Minister’s Office shared this development in one post on X.

“SMT @Ensheetharaman receives a dividend check of Rs 8076.84 crore for the financial year 2024-25, Mr CS Setty, President- @Theophishisbi,” the post said.


For this financial year of 224-5, the SBI announced a dividend of 90.90 per share in the previous year compared to the equity shares per equity shares. Last year, the SBI had given a dividend of Rs. 6,959.29 crore to the government. The bank had recorded a record net profit in 2024-25 compared to 61,077 crore compared to the previous year. This is an increase of 16 percent in the annual profit.
